Brooklyn got a special surprise last night as Matt Quinn of Mt. Joy took to the streets for an "intimate" pop-up performance. With nothing but his guitar, no microphone, and no stage, he delivered a raw, heartfelt set that had fans packing the sidewalks. The turnout was incredible! People lined the streets, hanging out of windows just to catch a glimpse and hear him sing live.

The impromptu performance comes ahead of Mt. Joy’s highly anticipated fourth album, Hope We Have Fun, set for release on May 30. The album explores themes of life on the road, relationships, and the band’s journey, with fans already loving singles like "Highway Queen" featuring Maren Morris and the high-energy "She Wants to Go Dancing."

To celebrate the new music, Mt. Joy is hitting the road for a 2025 tour, including major festival stops at Governors Ball, Bonnaroo, and Newport Folk Festival, before closing out with two big hometown shows in Philadelphia this September.

With such an electric response to Quinn’s solo street performance, it’s clear that Hope We Have Fun is one of the most anticipated albums of the year.
