The theme of "Flowers" is self-love and empowerment, with hints that Miley Cyrus is moving on from a relationship. Lyrics such as "I didn't want to leave you, I didn't want to lie. Started to cry, but then remembered I can buy myself flowers... I can take myself dancing and I can hold my own hand," reinforce the idea that Cyrus is happy on her own and is secure within herself.

Since its release, "Flowers" has created much speculation that the track is about a certain ex of Cyrus'. But don't let this overshadow the fact that the single resulted in Miley Cyrus' best radio launch of her career! Her official fan club "Miley World" reported that "Flowers" was the highest she has ever charted across multiple music genres, among many other accomplishments.

The single was followed by a music video that has so far reached 44 million views and is still on the rise! The video is set in Los Angeles, with beautiful backdrops of the city. The "Flowers" music video incorporates different scenes of Cyrus getting comfortable in a Los Angeles home, making it her own. Viewers are left with an ending shot of Cyrus in a suit, looking as confident as ever.

"Flowers" is a great start to what we are sure to be an amazing album from Miley Cyrus, and we can't wait to hear more!

Listen to the new single now on all streaming platforms, and keep an eye out for Miley Cyrus' eighth album Endless Summer Vacation, out on March 10th.
