In-N-Out Burger's fifth annual Rock 2 Freedom Benefit Concert took place last weekend, raising money in the most entertaining way possible. The concert supported In-N-Out’s Slave 2 Nothing Foundation, which raises money to free people from being enslaved to any person or substance.

The concert took place at the Hollywood Palladium and hosted In-N-Out Cookout trucks and photo-ops before the show. The concert itself started at 7, with Sitting on Saturn, an up-and-coming band that blends indie rock, punk, and ska music, performing first. They previously toured with the Jonas Brothers in 2021 and have four albums. Sitting on Saturn set the tone from the start, dancing, jumping, and headbanging. They finished out their energetic set with “The Fries,” a perfect match for the event.
The next act to take the stage was In-N-Out’s own cover band, .48 Special. Comprised of the company president, Lynsi Snyder-Ellingson, her husband, Sean Ellingson, and several other In-N-Out employees, the band performs rock covers at company events, picnics, and fundraisers. Joining .48 Special this weekend were legendary guitarists James "Munky" Shaffer from Korn and Wes Greer from HU3M3N, who also did a stint with Korn. Both are champions for overcoming drug addiction. The .48 Special set was full of aerial and fire tricks, keeping the audience entranced.
After .48 Special, there was a live auction for Raiders’ tickets, the Eternal Sunshine Tour tickets, a trip to Hawaii, and a trip to Rome. The winner of the In-N-Out Cookout Truck raffle was also announced. All of this money will go straight to Slave 2 Nothing, as In-N-Out covers all operating costs for the foundation, and will additionally match all donations 3-1, during the month of October, up to $300,000.
Finally, Papa Roach took the stage and did not disappoint. Playing hits like “Last Resort”, “Even If It Kills Me”, and “Scars”, they took the show to the next level. Taking a moment to address suicide awareness, they sang “Leave The Light On (Talk The Dark Away),” an important cause to the group, as they donated proceeds from their last tour to related organizations. Papa Roach also brought out a guest, punk rocker Toby Morse from the band H20, for his part in their song “BRAINDEAD”.
Rock 2 Freedom stayed true to its roots with performances from great rock artists, but most importantly by bringing attention to and raising money to help victims of drug abuse, a concert with a cause.
