Celebs’ Best Musical Icon Transformations This Halloweekend

As Halloweekend comes to an end, the Instagram onslaught begins. Though many people find the constant feed of dress-up posts annoying, some of my favorite posts to view are photoshoots from celebrities revealing their grand Halloween costumes to the world. As a college kid, seeing the high-budget costumes and content from Halloween is like stepping into another world. The transformations and attention to detail are things I can only dream of and hope to achieve in future Halloweens. Now that the spooky weekend is coming to a close, here are a few of my favorite costumes that depict iconic artists throughout the years.

Charli Damelio, TikTok influencer and Broadway dancer, paid homage to the one and only Cher this Halloween. Though Cher has many iconic moments throughout her career, Charli picked a whopping three different looks to celebrate the artist. Dedicating all three Halloweekend outfits to one artist is true dedication, and she devoured each and every look. Each outfit had its own unique vibe, and Charli and her team did not exclude a single detail, from sparkle placement to photoshoot poses.

Megan Moroney, a rising country singer, also dedicated her Halloween look to an iconic star within her own genre, Dolly Parton. She recreated one of Dolly’s iconic costumes in the past, a Playboy Bunny. Without a single blonde curl out of place, Moroney perfectly embodied the playful vibes of one of her idols. Even her photoshoot had the same vintage energy. This particular costume had a profound cultural impact for me personally, as my favorite rising female star not only looked amazing for Halloween but she was able to embody someone that I know she has looked up to in her career. Halloween truly is about being whoever you want to be, and in this case, Megan Moroney is one of the most iconic female country stars of multiple generations.

Alix Earle, another extremely high-profile social media influencer, chose to spend the night as Lady Gaga. She chose to represent Gaga in her "Paparazzi" music video, a very famous song with a very entertaining visual story to go along with it. Earle brought Gaga's power and sass to life with once again a costume that will be hard to beat next Halloween. With a more theatrical and camp vibe, Alix picked a star she was able to embody
