Singer-songwriter Beabadoobee (Beatrice Laus) released her highly anticipated track, "Glue Song!" After teasing the song since the end of 2022 in performances such as NPR's "Tiny Desk Concert," Beabadoobee fans have been waiting for its release.
Very fittingly, on Valentine's Day, the artist dropped "Glue Song," full of lovestruck lyrics such as,"I've never known someone like you / Tangled in love, stuck by you / From the glue / Don't forget to kiss me / Or else you'll have to miss me."
Laus went to Twitter when "Glue Song" was released and wrote that it was her "favorite love song [she's] written so far." She noted that producer and guitarist Jacob Bugden produced the song, and Laus appreciates how Bugden "continues to understand [her] and [her] music." In a press release, Laus elaborated on the context of "Glue Song": "I usually write these songs that are sad, in the past with my writing even when it doesn’t sound sad looking back the lyrics usually have been. For the first time this is just me being really happy. I’m in a really positive place for the first time in a long time and feeling love."
To add to the sweetness of the song, Laus filmed the music video for "Glue Song" in her hometown Iloilo in the Philippines. She said, "This song feels really personal, and I went to my hometown in Iloilo to film the music video. It’s where I was born and so that also added another personal touch to the song." Another personal touch that captures the song's theme of love is that the video was co-directed by Laus' boyfriend Jake (Jacob) Erland.

Laus has a busy 2023 ahead of her as she is preparing to headline her own European tour as well as a supporting spot on Taylor Swift's "Eras" tour! Laus tweeted that the European performances will be "intimate acoustic shows" as she takes the stage with Jacob Bugden.
